Eclipse, eclipsed by squirrel

posted 20 Mar 2015, 03:12 by Matthew Ferrier
We talked to the children about what causes a solar eclipse in assembly yesterday and today we went outside to experience one first hand.
Unfortunately total cloud cover meant that any view of the eclipse itself was not possible and our pin hole projectors will need to be put away until 2026.
We did notice how the temperature dropped as the light levels decreased and how quiet it became.......until our attention was diverted by a squirrel who was spotted leaping around in the branches of a tree.
