Ironbridge Wednesday

Another chilly day in sunny Shropshire.
Breakfast included the delights of last night's bread making efforts......we decided that it would make very good ship's ballast.
After our visit to the Victorian town the children have decided that actually they don't have such a bad life after all. None of them were particularly keen on going to work,as they would be about to do if they had been here in the 1880s. Starting at 6am and finishing at 6pm, often without pay just didn't appeal. The least popular job was working down a clay mine, crawling on your hands and knees, in pitch darkness, pulling an 180lb sled full of clay.
You'd have thought then that going to school would have been an easy option but they weren't so keen on that either!
Ishbel says she's hungry so we'd better go for supper.
