Weather Forecast - Snow

posted 12 Jan 2017, 00:22 by Toni Cornish
The forecast is still very uncertain but, snow is possible during tonight and then again on Friday morning, with heavy snow showing as falling between 8 and 10am, just in time for the walk/drive to school!

We will endeavour to make playgrounds and paths safe with salt, but this is not always possible to maintain, if the snow is falling as we are working.

Please ensure that your children come to school in footwear suitable for snow. If they are wearing wellies, please make sure they are named and they also bring a change of shoes.

If the snow settles, we will go out and play in it, so please make sure children have warm coats, hat, scarves, gloves, etc. with them too. This will be also be dependent on the wind which will be very strong.

We will endeavour to start school at normal time, but please check our FaceBook page and your ParentMail for any messages regarding school closure or delayed opening. Many staff come in from outlying villages and the timing of the snow may lead to traffic congestion, which could delay staff arrival.
