World Book Day (R, Y1, Y2, Y3 and Y4) 3rd March

posted 1 Mar 2016, 02:27 by Toni Cornish

A quick reminder that this coming Thursday is World Book Day and we look forward to welcoming children dressed up as a character from their favourite book.  We ask that a charitable donation of £1 is brought in to help raise money for Book Aid International, who send books to libraries in Africa.

Children will be given a £1 book token.  We are pleased to inform you that Usborne Books will be in school on Thursday and children will be able to visit the library during the day to look at the books and make purchases using their vouchers.  If they do not wish to purchase a book on the day, the tokens can be used at participating shops.

The children can swap their £1 tokens for one of the ten exclusive World Book Day books or they may use their £1 token to order a book from Usborne Books of higher value.  Please ensure you discuss with your child their purchase limits.

Usborne Books will also be setting up after school in the hall for parents to visit and purchase books with their children if they so wish.

Kind regards

Mrs Jones
