Year 5 - Saxon Topic - West Stow house reconstruction

posted 19 Sep 2014, 08:55 by Matthew Ferrier
Families of children in Year 5 might be interested to know that one of the houses at West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village is being replaced with a new building. It will be built using the same type of tools, materials and methods believed to have been used during the Anglo-Saxon period. Work has started and the timber frame is scheduled to be raised next week. Visitors can go and see work in progress.
More information is available on the West-Stow and local BBC websites.
