What is the Parents’ Council?
  • The Parents’ Council consists of at least one parent representative from each class in the school (where possible).
  • The Parents’ Council meets once per half-term.
What is the purpose of the Parents’ Council?
  • To give parents a “voice” so that they can feedback to the school in a constructive way by celebrating successes and suggesting areas for development.
  • To build a stronger relationship with parents.
  • To allow the school to take parents’ views into account.
  • To act as a representative group of parents to consult over some school policies and procedures.
  • Enhance communication between the school and parents.
Please see full Terms of Reference in document listed below.
How do you become a Parent Councillor?
  • At the beginning of each academic year, parents are invited to self-nominate for the role.
  • If you are keen to join the Parents' Council mid-way through the year, please contact Toni Cornish, Headteacher's PA, as we are always keen to have more people. Ideally we would like one councillor per class.
